Characteristics
for dimensional visualizations
Different types of graphical representations:
- geometric shapes (circle, triangle, n-sided polygon)
- text
- component-izing a geometric shape for separating properties (i.e., barcoding,
bullseyeing)
Different properties to be applied to the graphical data point:
- x & y spatial coordinates
- z spatial coordinate (no intuitive rotation interfaces, difficult for users)
- layering/2.5D (pseudo-depth)
- color hue (limited number if combining with luminosity)
- multi-coloring (i.e., resistor-esque bar coding, bullseye coloring)
- luminosity/brightness
- size
- shape/angle (differing geometric shapes or angle of a given shape)
- add change/time component to any of the above
- speed of movement
- change of position
- change of coloring/hue/brightness/size/shape/angle
